Bimeda Ireland is delighted to announce that we have become a Corporate Partner of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NSPCA) for 2026. This partnership strengthens our long standing commitment to supporting animal welfare and contributing positively to the communities where we operate.

"Bimeda is proud to support the NSPCA and their extraordinary work caring for Ireland's most vulnerable animals. Their commitment to providing treatment, shelter, and second chances aligns strongly with our values as an animal health company. We're grateful to play a part in helping their team continue this vital mission."

Building on Our Volunteering Efforts

Our partnership follows a series of meaningful volunteer initiatives throughout 2025. The Bimeda Ireland team took part in two dedicated volunteering days at the local DSPCA facility, where employees from multiple departments came together to support the charity's daily operations. Activities included:

  • Walking dogs and providing enrichment
  • Cleaning kennels and helping with general upkeep
  • Supporting staff with day to day tasks
  • Donating assets for rescued animals
  • Collecting plastic bottles for the recycling return scheme to raise funds
These hands-on experiences gave our team valuable insight into the ongoing needs of local shelters and reinforced our commitment to helping animals in our community.

Supporting the DSPCA Veterinary Clinic

In addition to corporate sponsorship, Bimeda are supporting the veterinary clinic within the DSPCA premises, which offers emergency and routine care for animals in need. Bimeda vet, Rachel Mallet, and General Manager for Ireland, Andrew Glynn, donated enough Hemosilate to provide emergency support to 250 dogs. Hemosilate is a unique Bimeda product which reduces the severity and duration of bleeding by 50%, which can mean the difference between life and death.

"During our time volunteering at the DSPCA, we were staggered by how many pets the veterinary team help every day and the long hours they work with an unwavering commitment to helping as many animals as possible."

Our Goals for 2026

As an official NSPCA Corporate Partner, Bimeda Ireland plans to expand and deepen our involvement throughout the year. Our 2026 goals include:
  • Continuing regular volunteer days for employees
  • Supporting NSPCA fundraising and awareness initiatives
  • Providing donations and supplies where needed
  • Encouraging employee led community projects focused on animal welfare
  • Strengthening our sustainability efforts in alignment with our Community pillar
We look forward to working closely with the NSPCA throughout 2026 and making a positive, lasting impact on animal welfare across Ireland.
