The Northern Farmer Awards took place on Thursday 15th February in Harrogate, Yorkshire. There were a variety of awards on offer including Farm Contractor of the Year and Sheep Farmer of the Year. Bimeda were represented by Regional Sales Manager Mike Marron, Territory Managers Emma Walker and Ryann Walker.

Farm Contractor of the Year was won by mobile sheep dipper Neil Fell, who is backed by Bimeda. Neil is based in Durham and travels throughout the country keeping the UK’s sheep free from ecto-parasites. Neil told us that “dipping is the only way to ensure complete and targeted control of scab, lice and ticks in one treatment. However many farmers are not registered to dip, which is where I come in. As a licensed dipper, I travel to farms around the country dipping sheep with Gold Fleece OP Dip.”

Bimeda were very pleased to sponsor “Sheep Farmer of the Year” this year and would like to congratulate the joint winners, the Wise and Chapman families. They thoroughly deserve the award as they are very professional and work hard to achieve the market specs and maximise profits.

Bimeda are very proud to support Northern Farmer Awards as these awards are key to recognising the hard work of individuals in the agricultural industry in the North of England.
